Kanja Ultra Light Glider

Team Kanja consists of eight students of the University of Applied Sciences INHolland. located in Delft, The Netherlands. As course project, Team Kanja has designed, engineered and built an ultra light glider in 15 weeks. After these 15 weeks, all students started their internships, temporarily leaving project Kanja in a nearly completed state. Now that the internships are successfully completed, Team Kanja has rejoined, dedicated to finish building the glider, test the structure and get our bird flying within a month!

The original design of Kanja is an idea of Mitja Sersen, a Slovenian designer of glider. He has his own website where you can find more of his projects, take a look! Team Kanja thanks Evert-Jan Cornet for sharing his expertise in building light gliders. Don’t hesitate to take a look on his website. Additionally many thanks to the people of the INHolland Composites Laboratory, Jordy van Nimwegen and Walter Kohne, for advising Team Kanja during the building fase of the project. Team Kanja is also very grateful for the composites materials supplied by Ron Verleg (DSM) and Harm Albers (Ten Cate).
